DIY Natural Recipes

Hello again!

So, here's the thing...

.

.

We totally get it, it's a bit of a hassle to suddenly decide to use natural products for our body. Since we are so used to going to our usual local beauty store and grab them off the rack, trying to look for a total organics store is like looking through a needle in a haystack. So don't worry, let's start by trying out the organics ourselves before we actually go out and buy a whole tonne of them.

Step by... wicked step, as they say.

Starting with the comfort of your own home.

.

Today we're going to show you how to make organic cosmetics yourself.

1) Lip Tint

Beta vulgaris or red beetroot is a vegetable that originated from Mediterranean Europe and later spread out through India (The East). But now, you can find them in your local supermarket.

They are a great source of fiber (if you choose to eat it afterward), iron, vitamin C, and potassium. People used to make dyes out of them because of their vibrant and very potent color pigments.

Just be careful when you handle them because it can get messy (speaking from experience). Don't wear your fav shirts!

2) Bronzer

Arrowroot is a root vegetable that is typically used in cooking to replaced cornstarch as its function is similar to cornstarch. Understandably so, arrowroot powder is the healthier option as it can help you lose weight. They are also packed with vitamin B which is good for your heart. They are flavorless and have no odor so don't worry about any Earthy smells.

Of course, arrowroot (powder) is very versatile----it can also be used for the base of your cosmetics!

.

.

So, there you go! Try them out, alright? I do hope you enjoy making them as much I enjoy using them!

.

These are just a few organic cosmetics we made from our own kitchen. There are loads more DIY natural recipes to be found on the Internet. For example, just go watch them on YouTube. Let me know what is your go-to fav products when it comes to makeup. Maybe we'll add some more recipes in the future? :)

Thank you for reading!
